Antonio “Tony” Andreassi, age 81, of Boyers passed away at 1:30 A.M. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.  Tony was born September 7, 1932 in Italy.  He was the son of the late Bernardino Andreassi and the late Enrichetta Andreassi.  He was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish having attended Epiphany Roman Catholic Church in Boyers.  He retired from the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Boyer’s Sportsmans.  Tony enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.  Tony is survived by his wife, Gertrude “Gert”  DeMatteis Andreassi, whom he married May 5, 1956, two sons, Donald Andreassi, and his wife, Laurie, of Seven Fields and Steven Andreassi, and his wife, Brenda, of Butler and two grandchildren Derrick and Tia.  One brother, Joseph Andreassi, of Michigan, also survives.  Tony was preceded in death by one sister. Family and friends will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday, June 24, 2014.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Epiphany Roman Catholic Church with Father James Bedillion, of St. Alphonsus Parish, officiating.  Burial will be in the Epiphany Cemetery.  If desired, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.

Tony was a good and sweet man...he was always a joy to talk to...always so good to us when we came to visit. He had some hard months, and our hearts broke for him, but he is resting now. We love you Gertie, and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow. You are always in our hearts. Love, Bob and Susan
