To the family of Margie, My family offers our sincere sympathy. My father,
Melvin L. Hoover,Sr was the cousin of Merle and dad told me many stories
about his cousin Merle and Margie. My mom, Eileen, and dad used to see
Merle
and Margie when they lived in New Castle, PA. I am 65 yrs old and live
with my wife, Virginia, in Williamsport, PA. We have 3 adult children. You
folks may know my brother, Larry, who lives in New Castle still. Larry was
after my dad's dad. Knowing how my parents so often spoke so kindly of
Merle and Margie, I am so sorry for your loss.

My Aunt Margie was eleven years older than me and when I was born she wanted the honor of naming me. She bought me a little outfit with her own money and asked my father to give me her name. So, he named me after both his and my mother's baby of the family and I am the baby of our family. Mother was Blanche Lavina Grossman Say, Margie's oldest sister. We were delighted when she and Merle
were the ones to bring our grandparents for a visit. It tickled her that when she married Harry Thompson we both really had the same name. Our whole family loved her dearly and she will be sincerely missed.
