Kenneth Robert Rasp, age 78, of North Washington passed away at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday,    November 4, 2014 unexpectedly at his home.  Kenneth was born October 1, 1936 in Butler, PA.  He was the son of the late Edward Sichart Rasp and the late Hilda Magdalene Lutz Rasp.  He retired from Magnetics with forty years and three months as a Quality Control Inspector.   Kenneth was a member of the NRA and Alcoholics Anonymous.  He was a former member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church, East Butler Fireman’s Association and the American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury.  Kenneth was an avid bowler and hunter and enjoyed pitching horseshoes.  Kenneth is survived by three daughters, Linda Carlson(Doekele”Duke” Terpstre) of Butler,  Mrs. Tom(Peggy)Ruediger of Sarver and Mrs. Curtis(Elaine)Kelly of Slippery Rock, one son, Kenneth Rasp, and his wife, Teresa) of North Washington.  Eleven grandchildren, Shane McCabe, Angela Steinle, Brian and Courtney Kelly, Jennifer(Chris)Callahan, Melissa Balsiger, Ryan, Corey and Connor Rasp, and Brandi and Amanda Griffin and one great granddaughter, Charlie Denslow, also survive.  Kenneth was preceded in death by one sister, Lois,  one brother, Edward and his companion, Mary Bowser.  The family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Friday, November 7, 2014.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M Saturday, November 8, 2014 with retired minister, Rev. Robert V. Mathias, officiating.  Burial will be in the North Washington Cemetery.

Words cannot express how we felt when found out of your loss. Ken was a wonderful friend to us & we know how much he will be missed. You were blessed to have him as a father & friend & have faith that one day you will meet with him again.

Deepest sympathy to all of you. I understand the loss that you are feeling now. My thoughts and prayers will be with you for strength and comfort in the days ahead. I have many memories of our growing up, with Mom and Dad and all your family and the time we spent together.
