Joseph Stanley Borcz, age 91, of Butler, passed away at 8:50 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Joseph was born July 15, 1923 in Braddock, PA.  He was the son of the late Albert Borcz and the late Nellie Catherine Kolano Borcz.  He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army(478th AAA Btn Battery B). Joseph was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish , having attended St. Louis Catholic Church.  He  retired from Cooper Energy in Grove City where he was a machine operator.  Joseph was a life member of the VFW and the DAV of Butler.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury and the Butler County Senior Citizens.

Joseph is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Theresa Ann Hunter of Valparaiso, FL, Mrs. Paul(Katherine)Uber of West Sunbury and Mrs. Albert(Paula)Nagy of Boyers, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One sister, Jean Borcz of Pittsburgh, and  several nieces and nephews also survive.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Hunter Borcz, who passed away
May 9, 2007, three brothers and one sister.

Friends will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury. PA from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2015.  A Blessing Service will follow at 1:30  P.M. with Father James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Butler VNA Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA or to St. Alphonsus Parish.
