Thelma R. Roxberry, age 91, of Parsonville passed away at 7:30 A.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Parker Personal Care.  Thelma was born February 10, 1924 in Shippenville, Clarion County.  She was the daughter of the late Charles W. Confer and the late Bertha B. Hartman Confer.  She attended the North Washington Presbyterian Church.  Thelma and her husband operated a grocery store on Route 38 for a number of years.  Thelma is survived by her daughter, Delberta “Deb” Grossman of Petrolia, three sons, Charles K.(Deborah)Roxberry of Hilliards, Alan D. Roxberry of Parker and Jeffrey(Wendy) Roxberry of Petrolia, seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Also surviving are two sisters, Sally Michael of IL and Dolores Krepps of Uniontown, two brothers, Walter “Butch” Confer of Parker and Richard Vose of Butler and several nieces and nephews.  Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence S. Roxberry, who died February 17, 1990, one son, two daughters, two grandsons, three brothers and two sisters.  Friends will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 4 to 8 Tuesday, February 17, 2015.  Funeral services will follow at 8:00 P.M. with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias, retired Presbyterian minister, officiating.  Burial will be in the Clintonville Cemetery.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Parker Personal Care and Medi-Home Hospice for the excellent care provided.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Moniteau Food Pantry.

At such a sad time, I never know quite what to say. But may the Lord be with you, and hold your hands and keep you all well. I wish I could come to the services, as I certainly feel I should, but is just not really possible, and for that I deeply apologize.
But my thoughts and prayers are with you all during these trying days. Please accept my deepest sympathies to each of you.
