Dear Kim and Fred, You both have my deepest sympathy. It is difficult to lose your parents. I will be thinking of you in the months to come. It has made me remember back to our childhood. Other than my own yard, there wasn't a place in Ridgeville where I played more. This is also true of about a dozen other kids. We always knew we were welcome and safe at Chub and Helen's. We had to have ruined the grass in many places all summer but they didn't care. My favorite game their was Kick-the-Can and I don't remember playing it anywhere else. I can still hear parents calling out names when it was getting dark to tell us to come home. It is a shame the children of today don't have the Ferguson's.
Helen taught me how to crochet, patiently I might add, very patiently. Chub was the first to call me Four Eyes when I first got my glasses and you know, coming from him was an honor to have a nick name.
I'll keep you both in thought and prayer.

Fred and Kim: We are very sorry for the loss of both your parents. Helen was a great person to work with; and her german chocolate cake was the very best. It was always requested at the parties. When Chub worked as a guard; he always had something to say in the morning on your way through the gate. It's not easy loosing your parents; but somehow we cope. Just remember the fond times and good memories. God be with both of you.

Dear Family of Chub and Helen Ferguson,

My deepest sympathy goes out to you on the loss of your parents.

I know both of them as I am a member of Grace UM Church in Grove City.

My fondest memories are of your Mom, as we worked together at the GC Meals-on-Wheels. She was such a sweet person and we had many conversations while working together about family, church etc.

I hope, in time, fond memories of happier times, will comfort you.

Again, my deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,

Bev Montgomery
