Linwood L. “Pete” Lindsey, age 85, of Universal City TX, formerly of Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in San Antonio, TX.

Linwood was born March 31, 1930 in Hilliards, PA.  He was the son of the late James Roy Lindsey and the late Adria J. McKissick Lindsey.  Linwood retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sargeant with thirty years of service.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Universal City, TX, the Connoquenessing IOOF #278 and the Bellevue NE Lodge # 325 F. & A.M.

Linwood is survived by one son, Andrew F. Lindsey of Kansas City, MO, one sister, Etoil M. Robinson of Saxonburg and three brothers, Ronald E. Lindsey of Saxonburg,  Curwin Lindsey of Warwick, RI and Norman Lindsey of Butler.

Lindwood was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Drayton Lindsey and one brother, Gary Lindsey.

The family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 4 to 7 Monday, July13, 2015.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 with the Rev. Floyd Barnhart of the Ridgeville Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in the Rosewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
