Susan L. Hermann, age 61, of Boyers, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 17, 2017 at her residence.

Sue was born December 23, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Everett R. Hammond and the late Mary K. Heck Hammond.

She was a 1973 graduate of Moniteau High School and had been employed as a weigh master at Waste Management in Boyers for 13 years. She was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church and was a graduate of the first paramedic class to go through Butler in 1984 and a member of the Marion Twp Fire Department until 1991. Susan was a cheerleading coach for Moniteau Might and Midget Program for 5 years and began the cheerleading competition for ABC league.

Sue is survived by two daughters, Danielle Hermann Lavery of Boyers and Kara (Ben) DePrano of Boyers; one son, Joshua Hermann of Boyers; and three grandchildren, Carter Lavery, Ciona DePrano and Lillyona Hermann. One sister, Patricia(Richard)McClelland, of Mercer and one brother, Michael A.(Cinda)Hammond, of Grove City also survive.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt Hermann, who died August 26, 2005 and one sister.

The family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Monday, March 20, 2017. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Kate Karaba, her pastor, officiating.

Burial in the Old Annandale Cemetery will be private.

Very sorry to hear the sad news of Sue's passing. I hadn't seen her for 30 years or so but ran into her while up for my Mother's funeral. It was as though we had stayed in touch through all the years. Sue was such a nice person and I'm sure a fantastic Morher and Grandmother. My condolences to her entire family
