My dad and Duey were friends for many years. Duey was also my baseball coach for several years in Meridian. Duey's son DuWayne and I got to be great friends, playing baseball together, going to Pirate games with our dads, and shooting pool and drinking Pepsi at the Meridian Inn under the watchful eyes of our fathers! We've lost them too soon, DuWayne, but they are still with us, watching over us now, and somewhere, they are getting ready for baseball season. I will remember your Dad for his booming voice, his love of baseball, his tremendous mustache, and for his many great stories. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and you. -- Stewy

Sorry for your loss.
Dewey & I go back many years primarily via the Meridian Inn, Jim Mortimer and golfing. We were recently reintroduced through his association with the American Legion and my association with the FOP and Lawenforcement Association.
We had fun, drinks and stories together. He will be in my prayers.
