Joel Alan Ball, 60, of Greece City, went to meet the Lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his home.

He was born March 20, 1957 in Butler, the son of the late Merle G. Ball and Helen (Weiland) Ball.

Joel was a member of St. Wendelin's Catholic Church. He was a 1975 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 1986 graduate of the Institute of Advanced Technology. Joel was the information systems manager for The Arc of Butler County for over 20 years. He enjoyed auctions, collecting, traveling and music. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Joel is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathy Ann (Briggs) Ball whom he married June 28, 1986 and their fur baby, Sanibel. He is also survived by 4 sisters, Phyllis (Don) Everly of Greece City, Merrill (aka Butts) Hilderbrand of Butler, Linda Slater of Greece City and Melanie Owens of Hooker and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Friends will be received at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 10AM at St Wendelin's Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Rd., Butler 16002.

Contributions may be made in Joel's memory to the Butler County Humane Society.

My sincere sympathies go out to you and Joel's entire family. I am sorry I never got to see Joel of late, but I always have pleasant memories of times spent with you and him. It was an honor to help care for him in some small way. He was a great guy.
