Julia V. “Jaye” Notareschi, age 93, of New Castle, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Julia was born February 22, 1924 in Ganister, Blair County. She was the daughter of the late Angelo Calderone and the late Mary Dometrovich Calderone. Julia was the former owner of Notareschi Distributor in Boyers. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish, where in her younger years she was very active in St. Louis Catholic Church. Julia was a member of the Sons of Italy and loved bowling and golf.
Julia is survived by two daughters, Linda Lewis of Butler and Mrs. Kenneth(Sandra)Peck of Slippery Rock; two sons, Dennis Notareschi of Butler and Jerry Notareschi of Palmyra NY; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Edward(Mary Jane) Calderone of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews including one special niece, Janet McCandless of Boyers and one special nephew, Richard(Deanna)Calderone of Boyers.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Louie V. Notareschi, whom she married July 19, 1947 and who died November 21, 1961; one son Richard Notareschi; one grandson, Daniel Scott Peck; two brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received at the William F.Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Father James Bedillion, officiating.
Burial will be in the Epiphany Cemetery.
