Anytime I would ever seen Ian, he would always make sure to take time to come over and talk with me and greet me with a hug and that beautiful smile of his that could light up a room. From the time that I met him when he was in elementary school, he always had a good heart looking after others and especially his younger sister Emily whom he adored. Our heartfealt sympathies to you and your family. You've raised 3 beautiful children. Shelley and Russ Hogue

Dear Campbells,

My heart breaks for all of you at the incredibly painful loss of Ian, who was always such a bright light in the world. And it also remembers the countless times when a wave, that megawatt smile, a casual hello would greet us as we drove by or stopped over at the house. But most vivid in my heart will be that tall, lanky frame in our doorway in the midst of the girls and my most difficult time in our lives, offering to help us by tackling the ivy (and 10 million sparrow nests) on the side of the garage. Ian worked for almost 3 hours in the full heat of summer to clear that exterior, and when he was done he refused any payment short of a glass of Kool-Aid. That was Ian - always kind, always thoughtful, and always ready to help without any thought of payment if someone was in need of it. He was a joy to your family and a bright shining light in your hearts as well as anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. We will sure miss him and that sweet smile. Please know the girls and I are with you in spirit and prayer. Keep every wonderful memory close in your heart -that will help as the days stretch on.

My dad worked in the Campbell bus garage for several years until his passing in 1999. Ian was often his sidekick, and Dad loved it. Stories of Ian would put a big smile on his face. Of course, I can't help but think highly of someone who brought so much joy into my father's life.

My deepest sympathies go out to Ian's entire family. You are all in my prayers for comfort and strength in your time of sorrow.
