Clarence was born December 11, 1944 in Butler, PA.  He was the son of the late James Patrick Wallace and the late Josephine Sylvia Anderson Wallace.  Clarence retired from Mercer Lime and Stone after forty two years of service.  He had a strong work ethic and accrued seven additional years of service through overtime.  He was a former president of United Steelworkers Union #14841 for twenty five years. Clarence was a member of the Branchton United Methodist Church.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Bonnie Applebee Wallace, whom he married, February 14, and celebrated 55 years of marriage.  Also survived by three daughters Donna (David) McFadden of Chester Springs, PA, Doreen (Paul) Angerett of Butler and Darla (Mark) Gresgott of Slippery Rock, one son, Clarence "Chip" (Linda) Wallace, Jr. of Mercer, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Two sisters, Esther (Ike) Williams and Judy (John Henry) Williams both of Butler; four brothers, James (Kathy) Wallace, Gary “Ding” Wallace and Douglas (Jennifer) Wallace,  all of Butler and George (Jackie) Wallace of Harrisville and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Clarence was preceded in death by five brothers; Richard, John, Daniel, Lawrence and Ron, and one sister, Gertrude.

Clarence will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He adored his family and enjoyed walking and hiking with his beloved dog, Levi.

He will always be remembered as a selfless neighbor with a fun-loving personality, the life of the party and our "Happy Pappy!"

The family would like to thank AHN Butler Medical Oncology staff for their excellent care and kindness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Clarence.

The family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury, Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1 to 4.  Funeral services will be held immediately after the viewing at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Miller.
