Anna Mae (Piper) Wonderly

Anna Mae Wonderly, age 91, of Butler, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away the evening of Tuesday February 27, 2024 while residing at Concordia of Cabot.

Born on January 17, 1933 in Clay Township, Anna Mae was the daughter of the late Francis and Martha (Sankey) Piper.

She was a member of the West Sunbury United Church of the Nazarene. She was employed as a Nurses’ Aide for 23 years at the former Spencer’s Nursing Home and also Sunnyview Nursing Home. She enjoyed reading, going to yard sales, and most of all enjoyed the company of her family.

Anna Mae is survived by one son: David (Margie) Wonderly of Pittsburgh; two daughters: Debbie (Dennis) Edinger of Grove City and Carol (Dennis) Bartley of Hilliards; one step daughter: Patty Boyer, of Harrisville; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; five step great great grandchildren; and one nephew, Lewis (Janet) Piper Jr.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis J. Piper. 

Family and Friends will be received from 1-3 pm Friday March 1, 2024 at the William F. Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury.  Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday with Pastor Tim Britton of the West Sunbury United Church of the Nazarene officiating. 

Burial will follow in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
