Clifford "Nick" McCarl Obituary
Clifford T. “Nick” McCarl, 77, of Boyers passed away Friday December 4, 2020 at West Penn Hospital after an extended illness.
Nick was born on January 16, 1943 in Boyers as the son on of the late David N. McCarl and Lucy B. DeMatteis McCarl.
Nick was a Veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He was a former member of Epiphany Catholic Church. He worked for Spang Co. in Butler until he suffered a brain aneurysm in 1976. He returned to Spang Co. and worked until its closing. He later worked at Sunbeam Coal Co.
Nick is survived by his wife, Pamela L. (McCandless) McCarl whom he married on June 9, 1984; four daughters: Lori and her husband Tom Boozel of Butler, Misty and her husband Jonny McLaughlin of Annisville, Breanne and her husband Joe Cook of Eau Claire, and Kendra and her husband Nathan Markle of Prospect; two sons: David and his wife Kathy McCarl of Butler, and Nick and his wife Paula McCarl of Butler; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers: D. James McCarl of East Brady, Robert and his wife Sandy McCarl of Florida, and Donald “Zipper” and his wife Lisa McCarl of Butler; one uncle, Bob McCarl, of Boyers; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private. Burial will be in Old Annadale Cemetery.
