Delberta "Roxy" Grossman Obituary

 

Delberta M. “Roxy” Grossman, age 72, of Petrolia passed away peacefully at her home Thursday December 21, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Born on February 5, 1951 in Butler she was the daughter of the late Lawrence S. Roxberry and late Thelma R. (Confer) Roxberry. 

She retired from the Underground Mines in Boyers after 42 years in the Retirement Operations Center.  She was an original member of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance Crew and was a volunteer EMT there for many years.  She also was an avid volunteer for the Red Cross.

Roxy is survived by her son: Christopher Grossman (Jessica Haas) of Petrolia; two grandsons: Marcus Fry of Petrolia and Alex Fry of Chicora; three brothers: Charles K. (Deborah) Roxberry of Hilliards, Alan D. Roxberry of Parker, and Jeffrey (Wendy) Roxberry of Petrolia; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Family and Friends will be received from 4-8 pm Thursday December 28, 2023 at the William F. Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury.  Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Molnar officiating.

Burial will be Private.
