Dolores A. Bodnar, 85, of Petrolia, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away August 1, 2018 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born in Pittsburgh on October 19, 1932. She was the daughter of the late George Prycl and the late Stella Rudolph Prycl.
Dolores was of Catholic faith. She was an avid bowler at Bruin Lanes and a member of the Young of Hearts. Dolores loved trips to casinos.
Dolores is survived by two daughters: Linda S. Bodnar Helch of Conneaut Lake and Mrs. William J. (Karen D.) Yurkovich of Butler; one son: Brian K. Bodnar of Petrolia; one sister: Lorraine Heiser of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband: Roland D. Bodnar; one son: Roland J. Bodnar; one son-in-law: Robert J. Helch; and two brothers: Norman and Bobby Prycl.
Family and friends of Dolores Bodnar will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury Thursday August 2, 2018 from 3pm until 8pm. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home Friday August 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Father James Bedillion officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Reserve Catholic Cemetery.
