Dorothy Beyer Obituary

On June 5th, 2021, Dorothy Maxine Beyer, after a brave battle with cancer was called home into the loving arms of the Lord.  

Maxine, as she preferred to be called, was born October 7th, 1941, in Grove City, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Paul R. Snyder and the late Dorothy G. (Gamble) Snyder and grew up surrounded by her family on the land she loved.  Being an outstanding pianist, as a teenager, she played the piano for her Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church.  She graduated from Slippery Rock High School and received a Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management from Geneva College.
After completing her degree, Maxine worked in Human Resource Administration in both Colorado and Pennsylvania.  Some of her favorite jobs in Pennsylvania included Trinity Living Services in Grove City and Life Steps in Butler.  She adored being a volunteer for Operation Spay and Neuter in Butler.

Maxine is survived by her daughter Debie G. Beyer-Pacheco (Raul) of Crowley, TX; her sons, Paul W. Beyer (Heidi) of Butler, PA and David A. Beyer (Georgia) of Youngstown, OH; grandchildren, Amanda N. Davis, Derek R. Beyer, Michelle A. Beyer, Daniel J. Beyer, and Amanda K. Fritzler.  Also, surviving is her sister Pauline McClymonds (Ken) of Conroe, TX.

Maxine was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel B. Beyer, and her long-time companion, S. William Grimwood (Mr. Bill).

Services were private and she was interned next to her parents and son in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
