Fred C. Ferguson

In loving memory of Fred Claire Ferguson, 71, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12th, 2024 after a battle with dementia. 

Fred was born on July 17, 1953 to Burton “Chub” Ferguson and Helen (Hilliard) Ferguson, both of whom preceded him in death.  Fred graduated from Moniteau High School in 1971.  He worked his entire life for the Social Security Administration at the underground mine facility in Boyers, PA.

His memory will be cherished by his best friend and fellow outdoor enthusiast of 10 years, Dave Cyphert of Sligo, PA.; his daughter, Heather Clark and her husband, Dwayne, grandchildren Taija, Dwayne, Jr. and Ravin, great-grandchildren Aiden, Ryder and Javion, all from Warner Robbins, GA.  He is also survived by a sister, Kim Bishop (Ferguson) and her husband Don; his niece, Amanda and great-niece Sydney, all residing in Tampa, FL.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  Donations in Fred’s memory can be made to the Alliance for Wetlands and Wildlife 22830 Rt. 68 Clarion , PA 16214 or to Life Steps Center, 383 New Castle Road, Butler, PA, 16001. The Young Family of William F Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury has assisted the family with arrangements.
