Geraldine M. (Pisor) Claypoole

Geraldine M. Pisor Claypoole, age 84, of Petrolia passed away the morning of May 30, 2025 at her home after an extended illness.

She was born on October 22, 1940 in West Sunbury as the daughter of the late David P. and Margaret N. (Donaldson) Pisor.

Geraldine was a homemaker and loved to be at home with family enjoying time on the porch and hearing her windchimes. She loved playing BINGO and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her three daughters: Anna “Suz” Page of Hilliards, Nancy Blair of Petrolia, Barb (Bill) Gallagher of Boyers; her son, John Claypoole of Hilliards; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Bert (Linda) Pisor of Bruin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Peach” Claypoole; one daughter, Beverly Anthony; one son, William “Jake” Claypoole; eight brothers and two sisters.

Family and Friends will be received for visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday June 2, 2025 at the William F. Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Gear of Concord Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial at West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
