Helen J. Kalinoski Double Byers, age 89, of West Sunbury passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Helen was born July 15, 1928 in Butler, PA. She was the daughter of the late John J. Kalinoski and the late Josephine Mirek Kalinoski. Helen was a member of the Springdale Lutheran Church since 1949. She enjoyed bowling and Bingo.
Helen is survived by her husband of over sixty years, F. Willis Byers, who she married November 9, 1957; three daughters, Mrs .Ken(Sandra M.)Kelly of Butler, Debra J. Gould of Butler and Mrs. Bob(Linda K.)Bell of Prospect; two sons, Joel R. Byers, of Grand Prairie TX and Timothy W. Byers, of West Sunbury; nine grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Her daughter-in-law, Helen J. “Jeannie” Double of Jackson Center, also survives.
Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth E. Double, who died February 7, 1952; one son, Robert L. Double who died September 8, 2014 and three brothers.
The family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 4 to 6 Monday, February 5, 2018. Services will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Protzman, her pastor, officiating.
Private burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
