Jacqueline “Jackie” Rita Brandon, 81, of West Sunbury passed away at 8:00 pm Sunday February 20, 2022 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, surrounded by her family.
Born May 29, 1940 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Sophie Huwe.
Jackie worked in the produce department at Giant Eagle for several years, and was a well-known dog breeder for most of her life. Her love of animals and family is what Jackie will most be remembered for. Jackie’s grandchildren have many fond memories of spending time at the Butler Fair with her and fishing in the pond near her house. Jackie enjoyed going to Barnhart’s on 38 where she will be missed by her many friends she visited with there.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Kenneth and Elizabeth Schandelmeier of North Carolina, Kevin and Melissa Schandelmeier of Queens Junction and Keith and Denise Schandelmeier of West Sunbury; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, of 33 years, who passed away in 2005.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her daughter-in-law, Missy, for the loving care that she provided to Jackie during her illness, and to Butler VNA.
