James P. “Jim” Snyder, 54, of West Sunbury passed away unexpectedly June 29, 2021 at work from a heart seizure.
Jim was born on May 8, 1967 in Grove City as the son of the late Vance “Tim” Snyder and late Lorraine (Pry) Snyder.
Jim was a member of St. Faustina Parish. He worked for his brother at Snyder Excavating for 17 years and also owned and operated JS Enterprises and Sports Gallery where he sold sports memorabilia. He was an avid sports fan and supported all Pittsburgh Sports. Jim was a Brother, Uncle, Godfather, Confidant and Friend that you could always count on. He will be deeply missed.
Jim is survived by two sisters: Theresa M. (Mark) McCaslin of West Sunbury and Eileen M. (Steve) Barry of Butler; one brother: George R. (Vanessa) Snyder of Butler; nine nieces and nephews; six great nieces and great nephews and one expectant; numerous Godchildren; and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Family and Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday July 2, 2021 at the William F. Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday July 3, 2021 at St. Louis Church of St. Faustina Parish in West Sunbury with Father Charles Baptiste and Father Adam Verona officiating.
Burial in West Sunbury Union Cemetery will be Private.
