Jane L. (Sanderson) Dancik

Jane L. Dancik, age 87, of Butler passed away the afternoon of Monday August 18, 2025 while residing at New Haven Court.

She was born on May 3, 1938 in Queen’s Junction as the daughter of the late Raymond T. and Bernice E. (Boozel) Sanderson.

Jane was a longtime member of the Lyndora American Legion Post 778 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling to Florida many winters with her husband. She liked the company of her many dogs, most recently “Muffy”, and enjoyed seeing hummingbirds.

Jane is survived by her son, Mitchell Dancik Jr, and his wife, Leeann of Chicora; two grandchildren: Joshua M. Dancik (Kristen Young) and Lorissa L. Dancik; step granddaughter, Jamie A. Brewer; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell, and brother, Thomas Sanderson.

Jane’s family wishes to extend special thanks to all of the staff at New Haven Court and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday August 21, 2025 at the Wiliam F Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Karen Slusser officiating.

Private Burial will be held Friday at Butler County Memorial Park.
