Janet M. Sybert, age 63, of Butler passed away the evening of June 8, 2026 after a brief illness.
She was born on June 14, 1962 in Butler as the daughter of late Victor Gene and Phyllis Mae (Deemer) Sybert.
Janet graduated from Slippery Rock High School class of 1980 and then graduated from BC3. She continued her education obtaining a master’s degree in theology. She worked as a bookkeeper for Stepanian and Muscatello Law Offices and later for Karen Vidt Tax Services. She was a faithful member of Bright Hope Community Church. She enjoyed crafting, notably knitting and quilting. She loved playing games and visiting amusement parks. She enjoyed travelling and loved visiting zoos throughout her travels.
Janet is survived by her dearest friend, Maryann Stepanian; three sisters: Vicki McFeaters, P. Lynne Sybert, and Lori Stephenson; two brothers: Kenneth “Sunshine” Sybert (Geraldine) and Jason (Tina) Sybert; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Carl.

Family and Friends will be received for visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Saturday June 13, 2026 at the William F. Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 pm at the funeral home with her pastor, Pastor Chris McGrady, officiating.
Private Burial will be held at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to Bright Hope Community Church 4101 Highland Avenue Butler, PA 16001.
