Juanita J. (DeVault) Martin

Juanita J. Martin, age 102, of North Washington passed away Wednesday May 31, 2023.

Born on June 4, 1920 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Fred DeVault and late Hazel (Chips) DeVault.

Juanita was a member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church and the North Washington VFD Ladies Auxillary.  She retired from Moniteau School District where she was a School Teacher for many years.  She liked to travel and enjoyed golfing, bowling, bridge, snowmobiling, and skiing in her younger years. 

Juanita is survived by her son, Gilbert “Gib” McGarvey, of Brooklyn New York and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert McGarvey; her second husband, Kenneth Martin; and two brothers: Little Freddy and Donald DeVault. 

Family and Friends will be received for visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday June 3, 2023 at the William F. Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury.  Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Noon Saturday June 3, 2023 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Edmundson of North Washington Presbyterian Church officiating. 

Burial in North Washington Cemetery.
