Lila M (Meals) Book

Lila M. (Meals) Book, age 93, formerly of Butler passed away the evening of March 23, 2026 while residing at Orchard Manor.

Lila was born on April 20, 1932 at home in Brady Township as the daughter of the late Kenneth Leroy “Roy” and Dorothy Juanita Maye (Walls) Meals.

She enjoyed many beautiful flowers and loved to travel and dance with her husband Norm.

Lila is survived by her husband and dancing partner in life, Norman L. Book, whom she married on July 20, 1956 at Muddy Creek Church; her sister, Joann (Jesse) Hines of Slippery Rock; and many dear nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Ellwood Meals and an infant sister, Alice Faye.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday March 27, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the William F Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury. 

Burial at West Sunbury Union Cemetery will be held privately.
