Margaret "Marge" L. McKinnis

Margaret “Marge” L. McKinnis, age 62, of North Washington passed away peacefully the morning of May 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. 

Born on June 21, 1962 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Giles and Carol A. Steele.

She was a dedicated employee at Westinghouse as a mailroom coordinator. She enjoyed songwriting and artwork. She was a former member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered as a very loving mother and wife who had a selfless soul who thrived on serving those in need, sharing in God’s works as a light in the world to those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Liberty “Libby” Fechter and her husband, Jared, of Butler; her very best friend, Patricia “Trish” Barnes, of Butler; two sisters: Carol (Bill) Smith of West Sunbury and Mary Steele of Cheswick; one brother, Edward (Kathy) Giles of Tampa, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. McKinnis; and one sister, Kristina Wells.

Family and Friends will be received for Visitation from 1-3 and 5-7 Sunday May 25, 2025 at the William F Young Funeral Home 132 Main Street West Sunbury. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at North Washington Cemetery.
