With her loving family by her side, Martha N. “Marty” Davidson, 67, was welcomed into God’s loving arms August 18, 2021.
Marty or “Sis”, as she was known by many loved ones, was born February 4, 1954 in Butler as the daughter of Ira Roland Davidson and Helen Hilliard Davidson.
Marty was a 1972 graduate of Moniteau High School. She attended Springdale Lutheran Church in West Sunbury and Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township. Marty was a fiercely loyal friend, loving mother, and devoted daughter. Kind, courageous, tender, and hardworking all described Marty, who retired from AK Steel after 30 years.
Marty was a wonderfully good-hearted soul who enjoyed yard-sales, dancing, Steelers football and anything related to the ocean. She radiated warmth while on this Earth and her light will shine eternal.
Marty is survived by her mother, Helen Schubert, of West Sunbury; one daughter, Stephanie (Hagen) DeCecco and her husband Paul, of Philadelphia; one son, Loren Hagen, of Butler; two step-sisters: Margie (Bill) Reiger and Sandy Mooney; niece Angela (Davidson) Smith; three sisters-in-law: Deb (Davidson) Michaels, Geraldine (Hagen) and Patricia Piggins; her partner Rick Elder; her former husband Terry Hagen; her step-children: Chris Hagen and Heather Halldin; and her step-grandchildren: Lars Halldin and Maja Halldin.
Marty was preceded in death by her father Ira R. Davidson; brother Daniel Davidson; step father Roy Schubert; step sister Linda Schubert; and nephew Benjamin Davidson.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony in Marty’s Memory will be held at a later date.
