Mary Morgan Obituary
Mary Birdie Morgan, age 99, of Boyers left her loved ones here on Earth to join her loved ones in Heaven on Saturday, August 18, 2018.
Mary was born July 29, 1919 in Kennerdell. She was the daughter of the late Israel Augustus Shaffer and the late Dora Elizabeth Smith Shaffer. Mary was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church. She worked for many years as a custodian at Moniteau High School. Mary was also a member of the Marion Township Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Sandra McFeaters, Nanci (V. Gordon) Craig and Karen (John) Windisch all of Harrisville; two sons Stanley L. (Sally) Morgan of New Brighton and Alan L. (Amy) Morgan of Monument, CO; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Morgan of New Castle; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family which included six brothers and two sisters.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gomer Morgan, one son, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
Friends will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 3 PM until 7 PM and on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 1 until time of service at 2 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Warner and Rev. Sara Atkins officiating.
Burial in will be in the North Washington Cemetery.
