Olivia Grace Bartholomew, 17, of West Sunbury peacefully passed away the morning of October 28, 2021 at 1:15 am surrounded by her loving family.
Olivia was born on July 17, 2004 in Butler as the daughter of Keith E. Bartholomew and Sherry Lynn Bartholomew Perry.
Olivia was Baptized in and was a member of West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church. She attended Moniteau School District and was in the 11th grade. She loved animals and had a huge heart full of love for anyone she ever met.
Olivia was a true warrior. She fought her battle since being diagnosed with mitochondrial disease since age 7. Olivia's fight with mito disease has influenced research and influenced the future of medicine. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, loved her, and prayed for her in the community.
Olivia is survived by her parents: Keith Bartholomew of West Sunbury and Sherry (Randy) Perry of Boyers; her siblings: Bailey Perry, Ashley Hoshak (Kati Zittle), and Nathan Hoshak (Heather McMillen); Ashley and Nathan’s Mom, Michele Hoshak Bartholomew; her grandparents: Dale and Mary Shook of West Sunbury, Randy and Kathleen Perry of Prospect, Edward and Kathryn Bartholomew of West Sunbury, and Daisy Gerard of Butler; her aunts and uncles: Tammy Hemphill, Renea Uplinger, Michael (Ashley) Perry, Andrew Perry (Heather), and Holly (Russ) Bartholomew Collins; and many cousins.
Olivia’s family wishes to extend very special thanks to all of her extended family and friends, Moniteau Schools, and her awesome community for their love and support throughout Olivia’s life.
A special thank you is sent to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia UMDF for their care and research in Olivia’s fights.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 20, 2021 at the Moniteau High School Gymnasium from 4:00-7:00 pm. From 5:00-6:00 pm kind words in Olivia's memory and prayers for Olivia and her family will be spoken.
