Richard K. Hoover

Richard K. Hoover, age 72, of Butler passed away the evening of Sunday November 12, 2023 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 29, 1951 in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Kenneth Hoover and Louise Stanford Hoover.

Richard worked at Pullman Standard until its closing and then worked at RGIS Inventory Co. He later worked at Clearview Auto. He was a member of the New Castle Harley Group, the Butler Car Club, and the Moraine Sportsman’s Club.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. (Rapp) Hoover, whom he married on May 27, 1978; one brother, Paul Hoover of Kittanning; one niece, Miranda; one nephew, Bobby (Sue) Floyd; and a very special brother from another mother, Jeff Knoblespease and his wife, Jamie, and their children Oliver and Willa Grace of Harrisville.

Richard was preceded in death by his foster brother, Bud Floyd, and Bud’s wife, Honey. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday December 16, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Moraine Sportsmen's Club 211 Staff Road Slippery Rock, PA 16057.  

Arrangements for Richard K. Hoover were handled by the William F. Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury.
