Samuel M. Tiche

Samuel M. “Rooster” Tiche, age 81, of Boyers passed away at his home peacefully Friday September 26, 2025. 

He was born on August 4, 1944 in Boyers as the son of Samuel and Sophia Lydia (Szali) Tiche. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Boilermaker from Local 154. He loved casino trips and playing cards and enjoyed his chickens and rabbits at home.

Sam is survived by his two sons: Sam (Toni) Tiche of Boyers and Brad (Lisa) Tiche of West Sunbury; his six grandchildren: Olivia Tiche of Portersville, Tarra Burk and Ryan Heller of Boyers, and Bradley, Sammy, and Ava Tiche of West Sunbury; two sisters: Bonnie (Ernest) Leonard of California and Lydia Tiche of Grove City; his brother, Michael (Barb) Tiche of Harrisville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Donna (Kurywchak) Tiche; his son, Louis H. Tiche; and two sisters: Sarah Cornelius and Linda Scheckler.

Services were held privately. The Young Family of William F Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury has assisted the Tiche family with arrangements.
