Sandra L. (Deal) McGinnis

Sandra L. McGinnis “Sandy”, age 71, of Knox formerly of Butler passed away on Thursday December 21, 2023 at the Shippenville Nursing Center.

Sandy was born on April 17, 1952 in Grove City as the daughter of the late Kenneth J. Deal and late Dorothy M. (Ekis) Deal.

Sandy formerly was a truck driver for various companies.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and card games and singing karaoke. She frequented Otto’s Tavern in Emlenton and enjoyed the company of her family and many friends. 

She is survived by her daughter: Patty Thompson (Garry Champ) of Knox; her grandson, Cody McGinnis (Larissa) of Ohio; her Godson, Stephen Rihel of Alaska; her brother, Kenneth Deal, of Ohio; and many other extended family members and friends. 

Cremation Services were entrusted to the William F. Young Funeral Home of West Sunbury.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. 

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Funeral Home for expenses.
