Scott Dingel Obituary
Scott D. Dingel, age 51, of West Sunbury passed away Friday August 13, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital after a vicious battle with cancer.
Scott was born September 25, 1969 in Butler as the son of the late Donald R. Dingel and Marjorie A. Frye Dingel. Scott was a boilermaker for Boilermakers Union #154. He was a member of the American Legion Post 243 and also the VDSSA Snowmobile Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his son, his many friends, and family.
Scott is survived by his mother, Marge Dingel, of West Sunbury; one son, Dylan Scott Dingel, of Slippery Rock; one sister, Dawn (Kenneth) Steiner, of Eau Claire and their children, Cody and Nicholas; one brother, Douglas R. Dingel (Trisha Sickle), of Saxonburg, and his children, Noah, Josephine and Trenton and two half sisters, Susan Steffy and Donna J. (Frank) Kowalkowski, both of Butler.
Scott was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at the United Church of the Nazarene, Halston Road, West Sunbury at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 22, 2021 with Pastor Tim Britton officiating.
Burial will be private.
