Verna Yearick Obituary
Verna C. Yearick, age 81, of Renfrew formerly of Buter went to be with her heavenly Father Thursday February 25, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital after a short illness.
Verna was born September 5, 1939 in Bedford, PA. She was the daughter of the late Emory M. Haskin and the late Thelma B. Kniess Haskin. Verna was a nurses aide at Sunnyview for over twenty years. She was a member of the Community Alliance Church where she was active in the Community Women’s Association and the Library. She was a former Girl Scout leader and former Deacon at the Meridian United Presbyterian Church. Verna enjoyed golfing and painting.
Verna is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Fisher of FL; Kimberly (David)Wheeler of MN, Traci Williamson of Butler; one son, Jason Yearick of Butler; three stepdaughters, Wanda Sampson of FL, Barbara(Ritchie)Packard and Diana(Mike)Walker both of Butler; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Wanda Marshall of Petrolia, Brenda Tarr of Butler and Donna Haskin of New Castle; one brother, Jim Haskin of Marienville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Verna is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Yearick, who passed away September 14, 2019; one daughter, Lynette, who died February 4, 2018, six sisters and five brothers.
The family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Monday, March 1, 2021. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Dennis Krajacic officiating.
Burial will be private.
