Victor P. McKinney Sr.

Victor P. McKinney Sr, age 91, of West Sunbury passed away the evening of Monday December 16, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Born on March 5, 1933 in Butler, he was the son of the late Jacob Paul and Anna (Yartz) McKinney. He was a former mechanic and operator at Heckett & Ferro Slag.

Vic is survived by two sons: Doug (Chris) McKinney of West Sunbury and Jerold (Kim) McKinney of Slippery Rock; daughter in law, Kay McKinney; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald (Jean) McKinney of Butler and three nephews.

Vic was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Powell) McKinney; his son, Victor “Chip” McKinney Jr.; and one brother, Rich McKinney.

Vic’s family wishes to extend many thanks to Orchard Manor for their care and special thanks is sent to Sam Brydon.

A Private service was held for the McKinney family Thursday. Burial was held at West Sunbury Union Cemetery. The Young Family of William F Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury has assisted the family with arrangements.
