Virginia F. Chapman, age 71, of West Sunbury passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at home following an extended illness.
Virginia was born November 5, 1946 in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the Irvin Fisher and the late Ruby Copenhaver Fisher. Virginia retired from WIC in 2009 having completed twenty years of service.
Virginia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She was a very special, caring and strong lady, that was loved by so many.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Rachel Christy, and her husband, Ray of West Sunbury; two sons Mickey Chapman, and his wife, Marsha, of West Sunbury and Timothy Chapman of Butler, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One brother, Charles Fisher, of Carrboro, NC and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Shelia Fisher.
Friends will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury from 6 to 8 Thursday, December 14, 2017. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 15, 2017 with retired minister, Rev. Robert V. Mathias, officiating.
Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
