W. Ned Weston

William Ned Weston, age 75, of West Sunbury passed away at 9:40 P.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.  Ned was born July 28, 1938 in Osceola Mills, PA.  He was the son of the late Edward Weston and the late Virginia Cowher Weston.  He was a member of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon.  Ned was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the National Guard for thirteen years.  He was employed by the Pennsylvania State Game Commission, where he served as a Game Warden and Land Manager, for over thirty six years.  He was and avid fisherman, hunter, trapper and an extraordinary outdoorsman.  He served as Vice President of the Pennslyvania Trapper's Association, and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Trappers Hall of Fame.  Ned was the recipient of numerous awards and achievements throughout his lifetime.  Ned is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Sandra Bloom Weston, one daughter, Tracy Weston Tyler of GA, one son, Todd Weston of Parker, eight grandchildren, Angie Marshall, Alan, Heather and Coty Weston, Alex, Danica and Dane Tyler and Delaney Campbell and three great grandchildren.  Also surviving are one sister, Nancy Woomer of Altoona, PA and one brother,  Jim(Eleanor)Weston of Osceola Mills, PA.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Weston, who died October 1, 2010.  Friends will be received at the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church from 2 to 3 Saturday, April 26, 2014.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with the Rev. Jeffrey Lang, his pastor, officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pennsylvania Trappers Association Inc., % Donna Spittle, P.O.
