Zeno Smith Obituary
Zeno “Kent” Smith, 61, of West Sunbury passed away at 7:50 a.m. on October 12, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Kent was born on February 26, 1957 in Butler to Zeno “Zip” Smith and the late Martha J. McKissick Smith. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
In his younger years, Kent shot trap in the Butler County League. He was an avid hunter and coached junior high football at Moniteau. He was self-employed with his father at Smith Plastering for over 48 years.
Kent is survived by his father, Zeno “Zip” Smith; his wife, Joy Metz Smith, whom he married on July 27, 1985; one daughter, Zena Smith, of Fort Collins, Colorado; one son, Jordan Smith (Holly Colosimo) of Butler; two sisters: Lana Smith of St. Louis, Missouri and Kim DeMatteis and her husband, Robert, of Boyers; one brother, Charles Smith and his wife, Lisa, of Butler; several nieces and nephews, and his yellow lab, Milo.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother, Martha, and one sister, Crystal Fine.
Friends and family of Zeno “Kent” Smith will be received from 2 PM until 7 PM Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury. Visitation will be held Monday October 15, 2018 from 10 AM until 11 AM with a blessing service at 11:00 AM with Father Steve Neff officiating.
Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
